The Sunflower meal is the derivative resulting from the extraction of oil from sunflower seeds and it is an outstanding livestock feed.

The Sunflower meal is the fourth largest oil-seed meal produced, consumed in the world and the global market for sunflower meal was valued at US$ 5.2 million in 2018, and it is expected to reach a value of US$ 6.9 million by 2024.

China is the largest Sunflower meal producing country, producing about 75.2 million metric tons followed by US with 42.2 million metric tons in 2017. Other leading producers of sunflower meal are Ukraine and Russia

The major Sunflower meal importing countries include Vietnam, Belgium, Spain, Thailand, Israel, Egypt and the United Kingdom.

The growth in livestock production is expected to create a demand for better feed and Chinese animal feed market is growing rapidly.

The by-products of Sunflower meal specially used in industries such as dairy cattle, growing cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, broilers, layers, fish, cattle and swine.
