Black pepper is the peppercorn of pepper plant which comes from the Piperaceae family. Black pepper is widely used for seasoning and as a spice in the world.

The world production of black pepper during the last few years increased significantly from an average of around 384,000 metric tons in 2017. The black pepper market is forecasted to reach a market size of approximately US$10 billion by 2019 end.

Vietnam, Indonesia, and India are the leading producers of black pepper and other key producers include Brazil, Sri Lanka, and China. Famous destinations of consumption are the United States, Germany, France, Netherlands and India.

Sri Lankan peppercorns are considered special due to the presence of high piperine content which gives the spice its salient aroma and flavor.

Our pepper is sourced from farm-level and we supply different specifications of whole black pepper from 450g/l through 550g/l for food businesses, and immature berries below 400g/l for oil & oleoresin industries.
